ifm offers UHF platforms optimized for both long range identification for logistics applications (backscatter, 10m) and short-range UHF for target isolation (near field magnetic coupling, 10 cm). All ifm UHF platforms operate under EPC Global Gen2 standards and are compliant with ISO 18000-6c. This means that the platforms are compatible with all 902...928 MHz UHF tags available on the open market.

Modular UHF Systems
The Modular UHF platform is adaptable and allows for direct communication to OT and IT systems with communication over Ethernet/IP, TCP/IP, or LLRP (standardized connection to higher level software). This platform provides connection of up to 4 external antennas and supports anti-collision and antenna multiplexing (elimination of cross-interference). Local tag filtering and logic is possible with onboard processing, along side 8 configurable local GPIO. The entire Modular UHF hardware is rated IP67 and supports optional PoE (power over ethernet).

All-in-one UHF Systems
The All-in-one UHF platform is designed to bring UHF functionality for long read ranges and high data transfer in a single housing for ease of set-up and integration.  Designed with low impact installation in mind, the all in one system can be added to an existing network in line through the internal ethernet switch, and two local, configurable I/O allows for PLC control poke yoke or audio visual control on the production line without opening your control cabinet.  Designed to easily unlock TTQ production control, raw material tracing, and WIP subcomponents, the AIO UHF system offers a compact, low impact solution for UHF RFID traceability.  Communication over ProfiNet, Ethernet/IP, and TCP/IP is supported.
