Connection technology must supply devices with power, reliably transport signal and withstand the rigors of different environments. ifm’s ecolink product line is designed with this in mind.
All ecolink products feature a ratcheting coupling nut design that maintains connection even in high vibration areas, a mechanical end-stop to prevent overtightening and deformation of the o-ring seal and materials of construction to resist chemical attack in harsh environments.
The patented sawtooth design of the coupling nut provides sure and positive connection between the sensor and the cordset. It protects against unintended loosening of the coupling nut, even in strong vibration or shock environments. Yet, no tools are required for installation and removal.
The patented mechanical end stop ensures the o-ring is always under the correct compression (approximately 30%), so the connector permanently maintains its sealing function. This special insert design also prevents damage to the o-ring from over tightening.
