IO-Link IP20 masters

CabinetLine masters (AL19xx series)

CabinetLine masters (AL19xx) are designed with removable cage clamp connectors for easy wiring. This series also offers a secondary IoT port so data can be sent directly to a high-level software system without the need for a PLC. This separates machine control and IT networks.

  • Use in main control panel with PLC (smaller systems) and/or in remote sub-panels (larger systems)
  • Removable cage clamp terminals
  • 8 configurable A-port terminals + 8 digital input terminals
    • Option A: Digital input (pin 4) + Digital input (pin 2)
    • Option B: Digital output 300mA max (pin 4)
    • Option C: IO-Link device (pin 4) + Digital input (pin 2)
    • Option D: Digital output (pin 4) + Digital input (pin 2)
  • Integrated network switch for daisy-chaining

FAQs

Q. What is the difference between A ports and B ports on an IO-Link master?

A. On A ports, pin 2 is always used as a digital input and pin 5 is not connected. On B ports, pins 2 and 5 provide an additional isolated supply voltage to connect IO-Link output devices that require increased power. These devices are limited to 300 mA load current per port, so high amp loads cannot be switched on the B ports. Currently, only the PowerLine masters (AL12xx) are offered with B ports.

Q. Why would I have a blinking red LED on one or more of my IO-Link ports?

A. This table is provided in the operating instructions. Refer to the pdf for more details.
