Data splitter

In older installations, analog or digital output signals from sensors are typically sent directly to standard input cards of controllers. Most of today’s sensors are normally equipped with IO-Link, meaning relevant IO-Link data would be lost with conventional use.

The E43406 data splitter enables plant-independent monitoring in a conventional control system that previously operated in the standard I/O (SIO) mode. With the data splitter in conjunction with the splitter cable, SIO signals pass through to PLC inputs. In addition, it transmits process values and other sensor data intelligence via IO-Link to higher-level systems such as your existing SCADA.
