Thermowells for sanitary applications
In the tables below, ifm sanitary thermowells are listed along with the recommended ifm sensor or RTD for each. If using a third party temperature device or an ifm part number that is not listed in the table below, please use the selection guide on the Select products page as a reference tool to determine if your temperature sensor will work with your chosen thermowell.

Common terminology
EL = Installation length of the thermowell which is how far the well will extend into the process once threaded into the process connection.
Process connection = thermowell’s external thread size or sanitary connection for mounting in the process.
Sensor connection = recommended process connection of the temperature sensor in order to adapt to the internal thread of the thermowell.
Design EL = recommended installation length of the temperature sensor probe that will be used with the thermowell.
