Ultrasonic sensors detect all sound-reflecting objects and measures the time from transmission to reception of a sound signal. Ultrasonic technology works well in certain applications where photoelectric sensors struggle with reliability. The target's color, transparency and surface reflectivity are irrelevant.
Color independent Reliable detection of colored and transparent objects |
Material independent Reliable detection of liquids, solids, shiny surfaces and matte surfaces |
Wide angle detection Reliable detection of irregular targets such as mesh boxes |
Detection to the nearest millimeter Continuous and precise output of the distance value using IO-Link |
