Installation guidelines

For best performance of the LDH family of humidity sensors, please adhere to the following guidelines.

Mounting

The sensors can be mounted on 35 mm DIN rail or with M5 screws (not included).

Proper operation relies on unrestricted airflow through the sensor.

Do not cover the sensor.
Do not install in turbulent air (suction pipes, dew point applications, etc.) as incorrect measurements may occur.
The sensor has a protection rating of IP20, so limit relative humidity exposure to 90%.
Routinely inspect the sensor for condensation and clean as necessary.
Install at altitudes below 13,000 ft (4000 m).

LDH290 (dual analog only)

When monitoring relative humidity only, 3-wire analog connection is required.

When monitoring temperature only, 2-wire analog connection is required.

When monitoring both humidity and temperature, follow the wiring diagram below.
