OCF fiber optic amplifier: Installation guidelines

Thank you for your purchase of an OCF fiber optic amplifier. On the following pages, you will find information to help you install and program the fiber optic amplifier as well as answers to frequently asked questions.

Mounting installation

The unit can be attached to and removed from DIN rail by hand. Hook the devices into the DIN rail from the top and clip the bottom into place.

An angle bracket, E21328 is also offered for mounting.

Attaching the fiber optics

Insert the fiber optics into the corresponding sensor hole until the end stop which locks the fibers into place. Both 1mm and 2mm diameter fiber optics can be installed without an additional adapter. The 1mm diameter fiber optics need to be directed into a smaller diameter hole further into the fiber optics channel for secure locking. When the fibers need to be removed, press the release button and remove the fiber optics.

The E21327 adapter is required for the FT-00 and FE-00 fiber optics with screw adaption.
