What is the difference between the Industrial Ethernet and ProfiNet versions?

In the ProfiNet version, we block the LLDP (Link Layer Discovery Protocol) and the PTCP (Precision Time Control Protocol) since this is already implemented within the ProfiNet switch found on our ProfiNet IO-Link masters. As specified on the product datasheets:

Industrial Ethernet interfaces: transmission: LLDP, PTCP 01:80:C2:00:00:0E
ProfiNet CC-A switch interfaces: blocking: LLDP, PTCP 01:80:C2:00:00:0E

Do you need software to configure these switches?

No. These are unmanaged switches and meant to be plug-and-play in installations.
