Capacitive touch sensor technology
Touch sensors work on the capacitive principle. When a finger approaches, the capacitance changes the electrical field. This change in measuring field is used to set the output of the sensor. This field can be influenced by liquids, solids, conductive and non-conductive media types. ifm's IO-Link capacitive touch sensors have configurable sensitivty to ignore such influences, making them suitable for a wide range of industrial applications.
