Get started with asset health management through a simple proof-of-concept installation.

Install two ifm VVB3 3-axis vibration sensors and an io-key wireless IoT gateway for instant sensor-to-cloud connectivity—no programming or support from IT required. Gain access to custom dashboards, process visualizations, and real-time alerts for critical assets.

The io-key supports up to two sensors, transmitting 6 process values (v-RMS, a-Peak, a-RMS, temperature, bearing, and unbalance) per vibration sensor to the cloud every 10 seconds via the AIS973 data plan.

Total cost of proof-of-concept

An io-key supports up to two IO-Link sensors. Once connected, the io-key automatically downloads the sensors' IODD files. Each process value transmitted by a sensor counts as an info point.

  • Each process value generates 1 info point per 10 seconds.
  • For 6 process values (recommended in first column):
    • Updates per minute = 6 (10-second intervals in 1 minute).
    • Info points per minute = 6 process values x 6 updates x 2 VVB sensors = 72 info points/min per io-key.
  • With a QCM110 moneo subscription supporting up to 100 info points/min, 28 info points are remaining for additional io-key connections.

For more capacity, a QCM001 subscription upgrade adds an additional 100 info points/min, allowing for sensors with more process value outputs or additional io-keys to be supported.
