Note on portable batteries
Some of the equipment supplied by ifm contains portable batteries of general use that are installed permanently for technical reasons. These batteries are generally not removable by end users, but can be removed in an appropriate way by independent professionals.
In certain applications, removal is not technically possible as continuity of power supply is necessary for the function of the product. This exemption is provided for in Article 11(3) of the Regulation concerning batteries.
Other ifm equipment contains removable batteries. The crossed-out dustbin symbol on the battery indicates that batteries and accumulators must not be disposed of with household waste. Waste batteries must be collected in accordance with legal requirements. Where necessary, our recycling partner’s service for collection can be contacted at ifm@envenance.com for this purpose.
