FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
September 29, 2025
Las Vegas, NV – ifm efector, inc. (ifm), a leading provider of sensors, controls, and software for industrial automation, brings a new interactive demonstration to the 2025 Pack Expo show to demonstrate improvements in production quality and efficiency for small and mid-sized food and beverage producers. By simulating a one-barrel brewhouse in the booth, ifm demonstrates how straightforward it is to start collecting digital process data, connecting it to a secure software platform, and begin unlocking insights to enhance production quality.
“We know food and beverage producers are under increased pressure to deliver high-quality products while also containing rising costs and losing institutional knowledge to retiring staff. This technology stack makes it easy for small and mid-sized food producers to gain actionable insights from their own production data without the traditional complexity of industrial platforms,” says John Isabell, Executive Director of Sales, Automotive and Process Market.
The connected machine demo showcases how food and beverage producers of all sizes can reduce planned and unplanned downtime of critical equipment by unlocking their production data. In the booth, visitors can explore the benefits of connecting digital process data via IO-Link technology to an intuitive software platform, where they can trend historical data for predictive analysis, monitor process control in real-time, and track critical event data to ensure the safety of food and beverage products.
“This solution reflects the ifm commitment to ensuring innovative technology is simple to implement and interoperable among vendors, so food and beverage companies can focus more of their resources on making quality products,” says Isabell.
The demonstration shows how to implement a comprehensive real-time monitoring solution on any critical rotating equipment, including pumps and motors, in just a few hours. The setup includes digital process sensors that plug into field-mountable IO-Link masters to send production data over a secure connection to the ifm moneo software platform through the io-key, a small field-mountable cellular gateway. This simple setup is an effective way to implement a pilot project that scales efficiently to multiple machines or locations. Customers can stop by the ifm booth#N6666 in the North Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center to discuss their application and facility requirements. For more information, visit:
