Compact temperature sensors: Measurement and evaluation in one device
Compact temperature sensors provide a powerful solution for precise and highly accurate temperature monitoring directly in the process. The measuring element and evaluation unit are combined in a single device, significantly reducing space requirements as well as installation and wiring effort. The result is a fully integrated plug-and-play solution that is ready for immediate use and integrates seamlessly into existing systems.
Particular emphasis has been placed on a robust design. A fully welded stainless steel housing ensures complete sealing, permanently protects against moisture ingress and reliably prevents potential drift effects and sensor defects. This makes the sensors particularly durable and low-maintenance, even under challenging process conditions or during frequent cleaning cycles.
Thanks to their compact design, the sensors are ideally suited for use in confined or difficult-to-access spaces, such as pipes or compact machine modules.
Measurement and evaluation in one device
ifm temperature transmitters are plug-and-play devices supplied factory preset for immediate use. Assembly and wiring, as required with head transmitters, are not necessary: the display, the measuring element and the electronics are all integrated into one housing. So the work required for mounting and for the set-up is reduced to a minimum.
High measurement accuracy and reliability
Thanks to high-quality sensor elements and digital signal processing, the sensors deliver precise measured values even during rapid temperature changes or under demanding operating conditions. This enables processes to be controlled, documented and validated efficiently.
Compact and flexible design
The compact design of the sensors enables seamless integration into any application. In addition, both mechanical installation and electrical integration are simplified. A wide range of process connections and installation lengths ensures maximum flexibility. Versions with and without a display are available. Thermowells can be added if required.
Robust and industry-specific design
Fully welded stainless steel enclosures and protection ratings up to IP69 ensure high resistance to harsh environmental conditions. At the same time, the sealed housing design provides reliable protection against moisture ingress, preventing temperature drift and sensor failure.
Digital communication with added value
With IO-Link, temperature values are transmitted digitally and without conversion losses. At the same time, devices can be configured quickly, conveniently and remotely, making them ideal for dynamic processes, recipe changes or rapid device replacement.
