ecomatDisplay: Robust HMI for use in mobile machines
High-resolution displays, convenient programming and maximum connectivity: that’s the ecomatDisplay family. The robust HMIs (Human Machine Interfaces) are optimised for use in cabins and on exterior areas of mobile machines and are ideally suited for use in harsh environments. The robust HMIs offer the best possible readability in both extremely bright and dark environments and are optimally protected against moisture thanks to their high protection rating (IP65 / IP67) and optical bonding. The integrated high-performance PLC is freely programmable using CODESYS 3.5 or Qt, offering the user maximum flexibility as well as reliably performing visualisation and operating tasks.
The wide variety of interfaces, such as CAN, analogue video, USB 2.0 and Ethernet, provide maximum connectivity. The integrated real-time clock also enables time-stamping of log data for better traceability.
Freezing cold, heat, dust, vibration, water and ice do not deter the ecomatDisplays. The outer qualities of the robust HMIs have plenty to boast about, too. The cast metal-aluminium housing and the hardened front glass can withstand even extreme outdoor conditions. The robust HMIs can be used with the established RAM mount system or as built-in devices. Whether it’s used in portrait or landscape mode, the ecomatDisplay is simply impressive in any position.
High resolution
The robust HMI’s high-resolution display offers up to 16.7 million colours and optimum readability even in bright and dark environments thanks to the integrated light sensor (up to 1,100 cd/m2 or dimmable to 1%).
Full-feature control
The powerful multicore processor enables high-resolution graphics to be displayed in high quality and device functions and the application program to be processed reliably.

4.3", 5", 7", 10", 12" or 12.3" – keys, touch screen or display only – portrait or landscape format – recessed or surface mounting – the robust HMIs in the ecomatDisplay family offer the right device for every application.
Communicative
Whether CAN, Ethernet or USB, thanks to a wide variety of integrated protocols, ecomatDisplays communicate effortlessly, thereby guaranteeing network flexibility.
Flexible and modular
Regardless of whether a version with a touch screen or keys is required - all the robust HMIs can be loaded with the same firmware and application. This means that the devices can be flexibly selected and used according to requirements without the need for any additional software or programming.
As the beating heart of a mobile machine, the ecomatDisplay has a real talent for communication. Versions with touch screen and / or RGB keypad are available for convenient operation. If the ecomatDisplay is only used to show information, suitable models are also available without any input functions.
Thanks to the many different system sensors, such as the light sensor, the functions can be conveniently monitored and operated. For example, it is possible to have the brightness adjusted automatically or the on-board voltage read out quickly and easily.
The ecomatDisplay is also a true all-rounder when it comes to communication. Support for a wide range of communication protocols, such as Modbus server/client, CAN, CANopen, J1939, Ethernet protocols TCP/UDP, network variables via Ethernet or USB, OPC UA, Profibus and EtherCAT, ensures smooth communication with other interfaces.
The user also has access to a PDF viewer and to video and audio players. While the video player and PDF viewer play a particularly important role in the fields of support, diagnostics and maintenance, the audio player can be used for spoken warnings, for example, thereby supporting the user directly during machine operation. In addition, the QR code generator can be used for high-quality support information.
Many mobile machines operate in the vicinity of people, animals and other machines. Camera functions are vital for maximising safety during operation. The ecomatDisplay meets these special requirements with the help of dynamic camera integration for person detection and operating area monitoring. Dynamic camera integration is available for both analogue and digital cameras and includes, among others, an overlay function. This means that warnings can be projected directly onto the camera image to warn the machine operator in good time. All these features and functionalities make ecomatDisplays real all-rounders that are ideally suited for use in mobile machines.
