  1. OMH high-accuracy laser
  2. Applications

Typical error-proofing applications

Error-proof assembled parts

Press-fit operations for precision assemblies require high accuracy solutions to measure depth of the pressed part. The OMH laser uses a triangulation measuring principle to accurately determine the depth of the part to 0.03 mm repeatability.

Electronic component inspection

Small board-level electronic parts are checked to ensure correct assembly. The OMH laser sensor reliably inspects these small parts with high precision.

Confirm correct car seat assembly

Powered car set adjustment assemblies contain many parts that are critical for successful operation. The precision and repeatability of the OMH laser sensor make it a simple and reliable point and shoot solution to verify the right parts are in the right location.

High-speed packaging of small targets

With a repeatability of 0.03 mm and a switching frequency of 1200 Hz, the OMH laser detects small moving objects and ensures all capsule pockets are populated with product prior to sealing.

Robotic picking

Prior to positioning a robot in place to pick a part, the part's presence must be confirmed. Since the OMH laser sensor can detect targets of any material color or surface finish, it can provide the necessary feedback to the machine as it detects the part. Even if the object is small enough to  be picked up with one small vacuum cup, the OMH has the precision to detect the part and keep the machine running.
