IO-Link enabled cylinder sensors detect the open / closed position of pneumatic cylinders
Cylinder sensors are used for position detection of pistons in pneumatic cylinders. They are directly mounted into the T-slot of the cylinder housing or into a mounting accessory. The ring magnet attached to the piston is sensed through the housing wall of non-magnetizable material. ifm's IO-Link enabled sensors continuously provides the exact positon of short stroke cylinders. |

Accessories for T-slot cylinders provide mounting possibilities on almost all cylinder profiles
Smooth body, tie-rod, dovetail, and integrated profile cylinders can all be adapted to ifm's T-slot sensors. |

Cylinder sensors detect the position of pneumatic cylinders
They are directly mounted into the T-slot of the cylinder housing or into a mounting accessory. The ring magnet attached to the piston is sensed through the housing wall of non-magnetizable material.
In addition to simple open and closed positions, IO-Link enabled cylinder sensors provide continuous measurement of the piston location for short stroke (50 mm or less) cylinders.
Not all cylinders have the same slot profile
ifm offers adapters for use of T-slot sensors on smooth body (or clean-line), tie rod, dovetail, and integrated profile cylinders.
