Grandi Salumifici Italiani – ifm moneo as a monitoring system for mortadella production

The IIoT system of ifm is called moneo and is installed inside the mortadella department to help monitor the machines. Due to the increase in volume, the machines were under great stress and were thus subjects to sudden breakdowns which resulted in damages in both production and productivity.

Thanks to the monitoring system by ifm, Grandi Salumifici Italiana SPA was able to prevent breakdowns and schedule downtimes for the replacement of parts at risk of damage. In addition to the vibration analysis in real time, the ifm moneo software has a module ready to apply Artificial Intelligence both at machine level and to be integrated within the production processes, to have a counterpart on both the production and the maintenance phases.
