Food industry
Hygienic housing design with high ingress and temperature resistance
In the food industry, not only fast temperature changes, but also aggressive media used for daily cleaning will stress the housing material.
The robust material of the full-metal sensors is corrosion-resistant and allows to use the sensors in extreme applications. The high-quality stainless steel housing with protection rating IP65 to IP 69K is perfect for permanent use with cleaning products and humidity. With the I*T series, temperature changes or temperatures up to 100 °C will not compromise reliable detection of end positions.

Machine tools
Specially designed sealing concept for reliable use in coolants and lubricants
Oils and coolants heavily impact the components installed in machine tools. Standard sensors are insufficient in many applications. The I*C series has been specially developed for this industry. Both the threaded tube and the front surface are made of high-grade stainless steel (316L). This sealing concept of the sensors, combined with the matching ecolink connector, guarantees maintenance-free use e.g. in machine tools or systems where coolants and lubricants have a permanent impact.

Steel and automotive industry
Ideal for welding applications
In the steel and in the automotive industries, weld spatter is not only a strain on the sensing face, but also on the threaded sleeve. The full-metal design with non-stick coating and the robust sensing face are the ideal solution to ensure reliable operation.
Moreover, the robust stainless steel design offers maximum protection against abrasive parts during machining. Thanks to the new sensor technology, the powerful heavy-duty models are also insensitive to magnetic fields. They operate with absolute reliability even right next to electric brakes.

Use in hazardous areas
Many international approvals allow use in dust or hazardous gas areas. Sensors belonging to the categories 3G/3D or 2D can be connected directly to the system control. The housings and housing parts of these devices and the matching connectors of the EVCxxA series have been tested with an impact energy of 4 J.
Versions with IO-Link
Reliable distance measurement accurate to the millimetre with IO-Link
Thanks to the measuring sensor technology, the distance to the target can be permanently monitored. A change in the mechanical distances will be immediately detected, allowing for preventive readjustment so as to reduce possible standstill times. The smart sensor profile provides various setting options. Switch points and output functions can be configured. Stock-keeping of different sensor types is no longer necessary as any required setting can be obtained by means of the IO-Link interface.
