GeTech produces gauges and fixtures for the automotive and aerospace industries which are used for checking the tolerances and dimensions of certain parts, particularly fuel lines, coolant lines and the whole routing of the pipe. By implementing ifm technologies, the GPI was created - a workstation where gauges easily can be exchanged via a connector. The ifm sensors which are integrated in the workstation check whether certain parts are mounted on the tube and if the O-ring is in place. A vision sensor checks if the right filling valve has been installed. When all parts are present on the tube and all sensors have confirmed this, the system gives a green light and the gauge is released. All results of the product inspection are visualised on the ifm display.
