Oily air
To avoid an accumulation of oil at the sensor tip, the sensor should be installed in the pipe in such a way that the oil can drain along the tip to the pipe wall. In a horizontal pipe, the sensor should be mounted from below instead of from above.
Temperature differences

If the media temperature and ambient temperature differ greatly, a central pipe installation should be ensured, as this minimises the influence of the ambient temperature on the sensor tip. We offer sensors with different measuring tip lengths for this purpose.
Deposits on the sensor tip

Deposits and soot interfere with heat transfer and should be avoided. If creeping soiling cannot be completely avoided by using filters, it may help to clean the sensor tip regularly with a cloth.
Glycol concentrations
Different glycol concentrations have different thermal properties that influence the evaluation of the measurement signal. The glycol characteristic curve stored in the sensors is calibrated to 35 % - if this deviates, a teach-in process is necessary.
