Programming and configuration for cylinder sensors with IO-Link
Setup with moneo | configure
moneo | configure is a user-friendly software package that enables easy programming and visualization of all ifm IO-Link enabled sensors (V1.0 and V1.1) as well as other manufacturers' IO-Link enabled sensors (V1.1). The software can be downloaded here: moneo | configure.
Setup with moneo | blue
moneo | blue is an app that runs on your Apple or Android smart phones and provides access to all parameters, process values and diagnostics from all sensors connected to an IO-Link master. The Bluetooth™ adapter, EIO330, connects to one port of the IO-Link master and the app can be downloaded free of charge from the Apple App Store or from Google play.
Dynamic teach in the application
The IO-Link enabled MK cylinder switches support a dynamic teach in the application during normal operating conditions where both ends of the cylinder stroke are recognized.
In the moneo | configure software:
- Under [Teach Signal Value], click on the [T1 Select] dropdown and select [All SSC].
- The sensor will go into teach mode by clicking on [Execute Command] under [Teach in Application].
The sensor recognizes both end positions of the piston in a series of three cycles and the switchpoints are automatically set as shown.
In addition to simple end positions, the sensors also learn and store reference times it takes to reach each endpoint. The user can set alarm thresholds based on this to evaluate slow cycle times.
