Programming software for multiturn encoders
This software enables the user to adapt the encoder to plant and measuring tasks. This function reduces the number of unit variants and thus the number of different encoders in the customer's stock.
Among others, the programming software can set the following:

Encoder with Profibus-DP interface needs a GSD file for the identification at the master and the configuration of the several features:
- After the download procedure copy the *.gse file into the respective directory of the Profibus configuration tool.
- Copy the *.bmp file into the respective directory of the Profibus configuration tool.
- Update the GSE files (SCAN).
- This manual describes installation and configuration options of the absolute encoders with Profibus-DP interface.
Programming software for multiturn encoders
This software enables the user to adapt the encoder to plant and measuring tasks. This function reduces the number of unit variants and thus the number of different encoders in the customer's stock.
Among others, the programming software can set the following:
- The singleturn resolution can be chosen from any number up to 8192 absolute positions per revolution.
- The multiturn resolution can be set up to 4096 revolutions.
- Offset and preset values can be programmed e.g. to set the current encoder value to 0 or to compensate for mechanical tolerances.
- The direction of rotation for increasing position values can be selected.
- The programming software offers different diagnostic functions indicating the operating status of the encoder.
