RFID Ident handheld including 1D/2D code scanner and SAP integration

The digitalisation of intralogistics is further simplified by the new RFID Ident handheld device. The compact and robust mobile device combines RFID technology for HF/NFC and UHF with a powerful 1D/2D code scanner in a single system. This enables flexible identification of goods anywhere within the company, either via RFID tag or code.

Thanks to its modular design with optional plug-in UHF modules, the Ident handheld easily adapts to changing requirements. Intuitive operation via Android-based apps ensures good usability, even for users without specific prior experience.

Interface for SAP

By purchasing an SFI licence, SAP ERP systems can be accessed directly via the Ident handheld device using an SAP Fiori web interface. Real-time processing of orders is therefore possible on mobile devices. Another option for integrating data into the ERP system is to use the FTP server, either wirelessly (Wi-Fi) or via a docking station (Ethernet). An interface to the ifm software suite moneo Track & Trace is also available.

Applications

Typical areas of application for the versatile Ident handheld device include optimising the processes for incoming and outgoing goods, stocktaking and order picking. Mobile identification directly at the gate or storage location speeds up processes, prevents errors and saves valuable time. This also makes subsequent data entry, for example for returns or subsequent deliveries, quick and straightforward.
