What are the IN1 and IN2 inputs for?

They are a series connection. Two OSSD outputs from the preceding sensors are connected to IN1 and IN2. They are connected to L+ when not used.

What are the different coding levels and what do they mean?

Accepted Answer

A coded target is detected by all sensors of the same design; therefore, the coding level is low.

A codable target can be programmed to a sensor and can be replaced.

A uniquely coded target is only recognized by one sensor and cannot be replaced.

Question 3

How many times can I program a codable sensor?

Accepted Answer

As often as desired. During “teaching” mode, the sensor programming input (IN3) will recognize the stored code in a new actuator. After each successful programming, the sensor will only recognize the code of the most recently programmed actuator.

How are damaged actuators replaced?

Accepted Answer

It depends on the coding level of the product.

Magnetically-coded (MN2xxS and MN5xxS): Replace the actuator with any other magnetically-coded actuator (found under "Accessories" tab for each part number).
Coded RFID (MN700S, MN703S, MN706S): Replace the actuator with any other RFID-coded actuator (found under "Accessories" tab for each part number).
Codable RFID (MN702S, MN705S, MN708S): Replace the actuator with any other codable actuator (found under "Accessories" tab for each part number) and program the sensor to recognize the new actuator. This video explains how to program the actuator.
Uniquely-coded RFID (MN701S, MN704S, MN707S): Replace both actuator and sensor since the sensor will not recognize any other actuator.
