ifm Asia Regional Office (iARO) at Inter airport Southeast Asia 2019

The inter airport Southeast Asia is an international exhibition for the airport industry, displaying airport equipment, technology, design & services. This exhibition takes place every two years and recently took place in Singapore from 27 February to 1 March.

With the IATA Aircraft Handling Manual (AHM) 913 in place, the team saw the opportunity to recommend our O3M camera systems for aircraft proximity detection as a solution to help customers be complaint to the policy. A demo board on the CAN network was also displayed to show the customers the possibility to connect the O3M camera and the controller, giving a more complete solution.

Although being held in Singapore, many international customers came to attend this exhibition such as those from Malaysia airports, Vietnam airports, and Thailand airports. Also ground support equipment (GSE) manufacturers and suppliers who are looking to be compliant with the IATA norm. Some of these customers come from outside of the Southeast Asia region such as China, India, even UK and USA.

Nevertheless, no language was too difficult for the multi-nationality team to handle.

Over the 3 days, we saw great potential in many of the leads generated and we’re looking forward to see them come into fruition.
