EU RoHS / China RoHS (GB 26572)

EU RoHS

In July 2006, limit values began to apply to certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment for the protection of human health and the environment. The corresponding current EU directive 2011/65/EU – the so-called RoHS(2) directive (Restriction of certain Hazardous Substances) – has been valid since 3 January 2013. In the recast, the following regulations are of particular importance:

• The application of the CE mark and the creation of an EU declaration of conformity also evidence the RoHS conformity if the respective product falls under the scope of the RoHS directive (EEE Electric and Electronic Equipment ofequipment category 1 to 11).
• The substance restrictions and permissible maximum concentrations in homogenous materials according to article 4 sections 1 and 2, annex II, were supplemented by four further substances.
