With its IEC 61131-3 compliant programming tools, ifm provides an integrated software solution for the development of control systems in mobile machinery. The engineering software enables fast project implementation and management – from programming and parameter setting to graphical visualisation.

A key feature is the ability to log into the running system in real time. This allows the created program to be developed and debugged on the target system – without the need for a complex tool chain.

The connection to the device is established via a standardised serial interface, Ethernet or a CAN PC interface. The software supports:

• configuration of all relevant communication parameters
• programming of the device in accordance with IEC 61131-3
• diagnostics and visualisation of available process data
