Industrial automation in bicycle manufacturing is transforming the way bicycles are produced, and ifm is proud to be part of that journey with Sport Mechanical Workshop.

With a daily output of 3,300 bicycles and a total production of over 4.3 million to date, Sport Mechanical Workshop relies on smart sensor technology and IIoT solutions from ifm to improve quality and efficiency.

Our collaboration began in 2019 with the installation of vibration sensors in the paint shop and has since expanded to include energy monitoring and real-time process visualisation via the moneo platform. Our goal is to maximise uptime, improve energy efficiency and meet the high standards required in bicycle manufacturing.
