In cooperation with WEILER: condition monitoring system to be presented at EMO in Hanover

30/08/19

The medium-sized manufacturer from Mausdorf near Nuremberg (Bavaria) exhibited the system implemented in their lathes for the first time at AMB 2017 in Stuttgart. This year, ifm will present their CM solution at WEILER's fair stand.

From 16 to 21 September, the world's largest trade fair for metalworking will take place in Hanover. Companies from all over the world, for example, Castrol, ergomat, Kärcher and Mitsubishi, will be there. WEILER Werkzeugmaschinen GmbH will exhibit their precision lathes, which are equipped with a condition monitoring system from ifm.

At EMO, the machine builder WEILER will present a condition monitoring system suitable for all lathes, regardless of type and manufacturer. The system detects, monitors and analyses process, machine and manufacturing data of any number of machines at different locations. All information can be displayed in browser-based applications, making it accessible via any PC, tablet or smartphone.

ifm supported WEILER in developing and implementing the CM system.

In the context of Industry 4.0, the CM system helps to increase the availability of the lathes, as wear and tear can be detected in good time. Among others, this has the advantage that damage can be detected at an early stage and downtime can be reduced. Thanks to condition monitoring, predictive maintenance measures can be planned, which saves costs.

The CM system for WEILER has been developed as an individual, overall solution. Visitors interested in the system can survey it at EMO Hanover in Hall 17 Stand A16. For questions regarding the system, the Middle Franconian manufacturer forwards them to ifm and ifm advises them.
