AI-based assistance system for moneo

The moneo IIoT platform is a dynamically evolving ecosystem that continuously adapts to market requirements and user needs. A new feature in moneo, which ifm is unveiling at this year’s Hannover Messe, is the assistance system moneo Assistant.

In modern industrial settings, there is a growing need to quickly consolidate, organise and make information available for efficient use. The moneo Assistant has been developed specifically to address this requirement. It combines knowledge from various sources, automatically identifies connections and provides the required information within seconds. This powerful assistance system is based on state-of-the-art Large Language Model (LLM) technology and is integrated directly into the moneo IIoT Core. It supports users in their daily work by answering questions, explaining features, guiding them through complex processes and presenting information in a clear and easy-to-understand way. The moneo Assistant not only understands natural‑language queries, but also takes relevant context into account, recognises previous user actions, derives meaningful connections and, where required, can carry out specific actions directly within the system. This enables a genuine dialogue that goes far beyond a simple question-and-answer interaction.

The new moneo Assistant makes operation of the IIoT platform significantly more intuitive and enhances the overall user experience. The range of functions offered by the assistance system is being expanded step by step. In future updates, the moneo Assistant will, for example, be able to create workflows and provide automation features. Over time, it will evolve from an intelligent assistance tool into a digital agent capable of operating largely independently within the system.
