The growth of the ifm group of companies has consequences for practically all markets worldwide. At the Singapore location, which is very important for the Asian market, ifm has now opened a new factory that doubles the space previously available.

The subsidiary ifm electronic Asie Pte. Ltd. in Singapore was founded in 2010 with only ten employees. In the meantime, the staff has grown to almost 100 employees, the production works in two shifts. As a result, the original location has become too small, which is why ifm decided to move into a new building in 2019. On 22.06.2022 the new building was officially opened in the presence of Martin Buck, CEO of the ifm Group, and Christoph von Rosenberg, CFO.

As there is now considerably more space available, both production and logistics can work more efficiently. For example, the material flow in production has been optimised, the use of Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV) and new methods of digital production planning will be possible in the future. Warehousing and shipping are also designed in a way that allows automated concepts to be implemented. Incoming quality inspection is directly integrated into the warehouse, which contributes to higher efficiency. Additional space is available for research and development as well as customer service. And the staff rooms are also much more generously designed in the new building. Approximately half of the 10,000 m2 of the new building is currently occupied – so there is still enough space for future growth.
