Self-monitoring temperature transmitters

The temperature sensors of the TAD series monitor the system temperature in machines and installations. Thanks to their hygienic design, high protection rating and integrated process connection, the sensors are particularly suited for applications in the food, beverage and pharmaceutical industries. Many temperature sensors used in such applications need to be calibrated at regular intervals. With the TAD series from ifm, this is no longer necessary.
Besides a very precise scalable analogue output, the units provide a diagnostic output for drift and fault monitoring. The use of two different sensor elements which monitor each other in the process ensures that a developing sensor drift is immediately detected and reliably diagnosed. Furthermore, if one of the two sensor elements integrated in the probe fails (e.g. due to a short circuit), the process continues with the second measuring element.
The sensors are available with different probe lengths and process connections.
They can be configured via IO-Link, e.g. using a USB interface. The LINERECORDER SENSOR software is used to visualise, transfer and archive parameter sets.
