Depending on the device type, 8, 12, 16 or 20 binary sensors with switching output (e.g. inductive, photoelectric or pressure sensors) can be connected to the IO-Link field input module.
Additionally, up to 20 digital actuators can be connected to an IO-Link output module.
IO-Link transmits the signals to any desired IO-Link master via one unshielded M12 connection cable. This eliminates the need for complex cable trees or parallel wiring and reduces costs.
Depending on the application, different module families are available for the food industry or industrial automation.
IO-Link requires no configuration or addressing. This simplifies the set-up.
It is possible to connect two sensors with one switching output each (using a T-splitter) or one sensor with two switching outputs to each of the module's sockets.
The modules can be used in a wide temperature range. Excellent noise immunity and a robust housing qualify for reliable use in harsh industrial environments.
