Sensors for hazardous dust areas of categories 3G/3D must withstand extreme requirements. Any risk from sensors must be excluded by special test methods. Selected materials and a special sensor design ensure that prevention of ignition sources is guaranteed even in long-term use. This considerably increases plant safety.
Namur sensors of the categories 1G/1D can be connected to intrinsically safe circuits. The connection to the required ifm switching amplifiers is made via connectors of the ENC ecolink series.
