ifm spotted: Inductive sensors in Meersburg-Constance

5/7/2021

Again and again, the eye-catching orange draws the attention of ifm colleagues to the company's own products. This time a colleague discovered inductive ifm sensors on a ferry on Lake Constance.

An ifm employee made an exciting find on the motor ferry Lodi from Meersburg to Constance on Lake Constance. In a lift, the colleague discovered inductive ifm sensors of the type M30. The products in question are probably II0005 or II0006.

With the combination of these sensors and the attachment of the targets, the lift car is moved to the correct level of the floor so that there is no step. This prevents passengers from stumbling and thus ensures safety. It is always amazing how ifm colleagues from different parts of the world report their finds. The orange typical of ifm shows its high recognition value here.

With a length of 81.80 metres, the Lodi ferry is the longest ferry operating on Lake Constance.
