Previously, their sensors only detected vibrations and displayed the values on screens. Now, with ifm sensors, they can detect mechanical problems such as bearing failure, mechanical looseness, and axial misalignment. These sensors have proven particularly effective on critical equipment such as hot oil pumps and fans. The transition from periodic, monthly measurements to online monitoring has greatly improved their ability to achieve continuous tracking and analysing.
