Spotted: Inductive sensor in the ifm truck

2019-05-14

As a roadshow exhibit, the ifm truck will serve as a rolling exhibition stand in the near future. This real gem of a vehicle is, of course, also equipped with ifm sensors, which work when the additional surfaces are folded in.

"Thanks to our ifm truck we have reached an unprecedented level of multimedia-based presentation", says Markus Metzmacher of the ifm Exhibition Team.

The 15 square metre exhibition space can be extended to up to 40 square metres thanks to two extendible extensions. The inductive sensors ensure the extensions also recognise when they should stop during retraction.

The interior of the ifm truck consists of two floors. While digital and hardware product presentations are held on the lower floor, the upper floor (18sqm) serves as an event room in which 15 guests can take part in seminars, conferences or training courses.

The ifm truck additionally offers customers the opportunity to experience IO-Link for themselves.  Further, a 98" screen will be set up as a multimedia library.
