In January 2020 the ifm group became a member of the European Machine Vision Association, in short EMVA. The non-profit and non-commercial association represents the entire image processing industry in Europe and was founded in Barcelona in 2003. Renowned manufacturers and organisations dealing with the development and use of image processing technologies such as Fraunhofer Institute, Zeiss or Fujifilm are also listed there. Under the partnership, ifm present themselves as a supplier of products and solutions for image processing on the association's website, in newsletters and in the online buyers guide. Moreover, ifm will also participate in lectures, forums and events to establish and intensify contact with the entire image processing industry.
