ifm is presenting the new version of the IO-Link configuration tool moneo configure free. The latest version makes using the free tool even easier and faster, while also reducing resource consumption.
IO‑Link communication for sensors and actuators offers the major advantage that configuration can be carried out easily and directly via IO‑Link. This requires a configuration tool that is as quick and intuitive to use as possible – especially when a large number of devices need to be configured at the same time. The new version of moneo configure free from ifm includes a wide range of new features that significantly simplify everyday work. For example, managing multiple devices simultaneously is now much faster. With the Compare function, users can easily compare the parameter settings of identical sensors. Besides, configure free now includes an integrated GSDML generator that allows GSDML files to be enhanced with IO‑Link parameters. The configuration tool is not only suitable for ifm products, but is manufacturer-independent. Users therefore do not need any additional tools for their IO-Link configuration.
Despite its enhanced features, the new version uses significantly fewer resources than its predecessor. No installation, licensing or login is required. The absence of background services running even when the software is inactive further reduces its resource footprint. With the new version of moneo configure free, users are not only up and running immediately, but also reach their goals much more quickly.
