Renewable energies: the power of water

With a share of around 50 per cent, water is still the most popular renewable energy source in sustainable electricity generation. Marco Cantamessa is a full professor in the Department of Management and Production Engineering at the Politecnico di Torino. Alongside his academic activities, he has had years of experience in the field of innovation, in particular as President of I3P, the Innovative Companies Incubator of Politecnico di Torino, and of Neva Finventures, corporate venturing company of the Intesa Sanpaolo Banking Group. He has been President of Compagnia Valdostana delle Acque since 2017.

Tord Jonsson is Supply Chain & Quality Manager for CorPower Ocean. He is building a global supply chain and relationships with innovative suppliers with a strong drive to support the introduction of a new clean renewable energy resource to the world, focusing on logistics, capacity and cost-efficient manufacturing methods or product solutions to make wave energy competitive on the market.

Mohamed Al Kadari, VP Global IIoT Business Development, is responsible for the go-to-market strategy of ifm’s moneo IIoT platform.

After working at Google for over 8 years, he returned to his mechanical engineering roots and joined ifm over a year ago. Together with his team, Mohamed works on reducing friction to transform automation data into valuable insights - from sensor to cloud. In his spare time, Mohamed is a passionate marathon runner and leadership trainer.
