32-bit Extended Controller ifm's 32-bit Extended Controller features 32 multi-functional inputs and 32 multi-functional outputs as well as 16 digital outputs. The controller also offers four independently configurable CAN interfaces to simplify application integration with existing CAN based network devices. Built in CANopen protocol support provides a quick and flexible interconnection and interoperability with other CANopen devices.
Programming to the standard IEC 61131-3 languages ensures that all control functions are easily integrated. For communication with diesel engines and powertrains, all interfaces can be reconfigured to the SAE J1939 protocol.
A total of 80 inputs / outputs enable the Extended Cotnroller to automate many complex functions in mobile applications. Each input can be configured as digital, frequency or analog with diagnostic functions. The inputs support the evaluation of positive and negative digital input signals. The analog inputs enable both current and voltage measurement. The freely configurable digital or PWM outputs offer diagnostic capabilities and optional current control.
The electronics are packaged in a compact, metal housing. Monitoring and protection functions enable safe operation under extreme operating conditions.
The 32-bit Extended Controller has an operating voltage of 10…32 VDC with current consumption <320 mA.
