ifm Analog Inductive Sensors Provide Precise Linear Output Signals

ifm introduces a full line of analog inductive sensors that provide precise linear output signals. Unlike standard inductive sensors that send either an open or closed signal when a target is present, ifm's analog sensors provide an analog signal that is proportional to the distance of the metal target from the sensor face.

Analog sensors are ideal for applications that require precise position sensing and measurement. Typical applications include:
• part positioning
• distance, size, and thickness measurement
• identification of different metals
• general inspection and error-proofing, such as material imperfection

Analog sensors are available in 12, 18, and 30 mm metal tubular housings and in a rectangular plastic housing. They feature linear sensing ranges of up to 26mm, flush and non-flush mounting.

The sensors feature four LEDs that provide 360° visibility. Outputs are available in 4...20mA or 0...10V.
