ifm's Industrial Memory Plug offers a fast and convenient method to parameterize sensors throughout a plant. The Memory Plug is a mechanical solution to parameter storage. If a sensor ever needs to be replaced, simply connect the new sensor to the Memory Plug, and the new parameterization data is transferred in seconds. The Memory Plug reads and stores parameterization data directly from a connected sensor. This information is then saved for future use.
The Memory Plug operates on the new IO-Link standard and is compatible with all ifm IO-Link pressure and flow sensors as well as other manufacturers’ sensors that are IO-Link enabled. The device is re-writable and can be write-protected, locked, and activated via a teach button / LED function.
