Pressure sensors with ceramic measuring cell

Due to an optimised support in the process connection the units with a ceramic measuring cell are designed for highest stress with nominal pressures of -1 to 600 bar. These sensors are extremely robust against mechanical influence and work completely without wear and tear or fatigue. The resulting long-term stability ensures safe operation and reliable measurement results over 100 million pressure cycles.
Pressure sensors with stainless steel measuring cell

Units with wire strain gauge in thick-film technology on a stainless steel measuring cell are distinguished by their very compact and robust design. The welded stainless steel measuring cell without any seals ensures a high degree of safety. The three to thirty times greater bursting pressure, depending on the selected measuring range of the unit, and the high shock and vibration resistance support the maximum operational safety of ifm pressure sensors with stainless steel measuring cell.
Pressure sensors with silicon measuring cell

As regards accuracy, the units with the piezoresistive silicon measuring cell are every bit as good as the sensors having used a ceramic measuring cell so far. Thanks to their construction they allow differential pressure measurements without having to connect a second pressure pick-up.
System solutions

In addition to the wide range of pressure sensors ifm also provides special and reliable system solutions. Special units, based on our tried-and-tested pressure sensors, permit use in even more applications. Using the PC-based communication and software solutions, use of the ifm pressure sensors is even more comfortable.
Submersible pressure transmitters

In addition to conventional pressure sensors for hydrostatic level measurement, ifm now also offers submersible pressure transmitters for level measurement. With this design numerous new applications are possible, for example level measurement in wells, streaming water, drill holes and wastewater plants. The high precision and long-term stability ensure permanent operation in these applications. All components of the submersible pressure transmitter in contact with the medium are made of stainless steel (320S31).
