In times of globalisation the distances to the customer keep increasing. The costs for the provision of services and reduction of downtime in case of malfunctions are becoming more and more important.
Therefore machine and plant builders more and more often use the remote diagnosis via GSM / GPRS / EDGE radio connection. The CANremote radio gateway transfers the data directly from the machine controller. It is either transferred to the programming or diagnostic system of the machine manufacturer in real time or is buffered on a server and is available at any time via an internet portal. With CANremote GPS the position data can be directly visualised in the internet portal.
