Introduction
Decentralised I/O modules for use in CANopen bus systems. Considerably reduced wiring, as they are mounted where the signals are generated. The flexible configuration of the inputs and outputs enables universal use and reduces the costs for stockholding.
CANopen
The profile DSP 401 has been defined for digital and analogue I/O modules. All input / output functions are configured from the user program via the object directory. Setting of the baud rate and the node number is done via CANopen commands or via the integrated coding switches.
Parameter setting via CoDeSys 2.3
Parameter setting of the device functions and CAN interface is directly done from the application programmed with CoDeSys 2.3. To do so, the "Electronic Data Sheet" (EDS) is embedded via the CoDeSys network configurator. Thus the status of the inputs and outputs is immediately available.
Functions and advantages
By means of the decentralised I/O modules from the ecomatmobile system binary and analogue sensors and actuators can be directly connected to a controller via the CAN bus. The number of cables is considerably reduced. The I/O modules also provide additional functions which allow the signals to be preprocessed.
ifm electronic
ifm electronic gmbh is one of the leading manufacturers of automation technology world-wide. More than 3,000 employees in more than 70 countries develop solutions for 80,000 customers in the manufacturing industries. By optimising technical processes in the automotive, chemical and cosmetics industries or in environmental technology and automation of buildings ifm electronic has consistently set new standards and thus ensures tomorrow's production processes.
The family-run company with headquarters in Essen started with the invention of inductive proximity sensors in 1969. The German production in Tettnang on Lake Constance has ensured brand quality right from the start. Today "efector" stands for position and fluid sensors, object recognition, diagnostic and identification systems. The brand "ecomat" is synonymous with networking and control systems. In 2007 ifm made a turnover of more than € 410 million with above-average product quality, exceptional innovations and consistent close contact to the customer.
