Vibration diagnosis on a homogeniser

Requirement
Critical machines such as homogenisers mean high standstill costs in the event of a failure. Changes to the operating behaviour, caused, for example, by inadmissible unbalance or rolling element bearing damage, always leave their dynamic fingerprint.

Implementation
The compact diagnostic system efector octavis evaluates the vibration characteristics according to methods of frequency analysis. A micromechanical accelerometer acts as the sensing element. Data can be recorded, processed and evaluated in a decentralised way without any expert know-how. The acoustic emission is detected, the frequency spectrum is calculated and so the condition of the rolling element bearing and the unbalance are evaluated. The condition can be directly read on site and is signalled by binary switching outputs. Connection to a bus system is also possible.

Customer benefits
efector octavis is suitable for early detection of unbalance and rolling element bearing damage. Continuous monitoring offers a reliable and cost-efficient solution as compared to intermittent methods. The unit of type VE1001 ensures monitoring of up to five different objects or 20 individual frequencies. A rolling element bearing or a shaft is defined as an object. Using efector octavis permanent vibration monitoring is now no longer a question of price.
