Valve monitoring with AS-Interface.
Requirement
AS-Interface has become the established standard in traditional mechanical engineering. As a manufacturer-independent standard for binary field bus communication it replaces the previous parallel wiring. The bus system is used for the connection of actuators and sensors of the lowest field level such as the ProcessLine field module of stainless steel.
Implementation
The AS-i ProcessLine family provides completely new possibilities for bus wiring. The still commonly used cost-intensive large stainless steel control cabinets are becoming obsolete. Bus modules can be installed where they belong, i.e. near the sensors and actuators.
Customer benefits
The fast and uncomplicated installation of the ProcessLine modules is done by means of just one central screw. All electrical connections can be plugged into M12 sockets. The status LEDs are integrated in one central diagnostic window.
