Run-dry protection on a pump
Requirement
During conveyance of liquid foods such as dairy products or beverages the product flow has to be monitored. An interrupton of the product flow can cause considerable damage and downtime.
Implementation
Flow sensors of the SI6000 series monitor the pump. Dry running and thus damage to the pump are effectively prevented.
Customer benefits
Due to its high protection rating IP 69K the robust stainless steel housing provides high security even in harsh environments. Adjustment to the flow and setting of the switch points are carried out by simply pressing a pushbutton. A multicolour LED locally indicates flow and the switch points. The high repeatability of the switch points offers an optimum choice for use. The sensor can be individually adjusted using the teach function. Electronic locking of the settings provides additional safety. The flow sensor is suitable for medium temperatures up to 120°C. Thanks to a broad selection of process adapters the flow sensors can easily be integrated in almost any application.
